What we do

The Alliance to End Homelessness Ottawa is a member-driven coalition working to prevent, reduce, and end homelessness. We bring together people with lived experience, community organizations, residents, and partners to strengthen Ottawa’s response and advance lasting solutions. Our work is guided by three pillars: advocacy, planning, and mobilization.

Advocacy

We work with our members and partners to advance policies, investments, and systemic changes that address the causes of homelessness. We bring research, lived experience, and sector expertise to decision-makers so that Ottawa’s housing and homelessness policies reflect what people need.

Planning

Ending homelessness takes coordinated action. We bring partners together to identify gaps, set shared priorities, and strengthen how Ottawa’s housing and homelessness systems work together. Research and data help us understand what is changing, measure progress, and plan more effective responses.

Mobilization

We help people turn shared concern into collective action. Through education, events, campaigns, and opportunities to connect, we bring members and the wider community together to build understanding and support solutions to homelessness.
