For more than 35 years, the Ottawa Social Housing Network (OSHN) brought together social housing providers, supportive housing organizations, housing advocates and community partners in a network focused on sharing knowledge, strengthening connections, and advocating for the sector’s needs. The Alliance worked alongside OSHN the entire time.
In 2026 the OSHN Caucus was established, integrating OSHN into the Alliance to bring OSHN’s deep knowledge of housing together with the Alliance’s strength in advocacy, mobilization, and system planning. Bringing the network into the Alliance strengthens the connection between community housing and homelessness prevention, helping us work together toward a city where everyone has a safe, affordable home.
